Lisa in South Austin explains that the current approach of giving the homeless housing is not going to work. Mayor Adler’s homeless agenda of pushing only housing first is failing Austin and the homeless. A good first step in trying to address the homeless issue will come from understanding the problem. If we are not listening to the homeless, how are we going to ever learn how to help address their problems? Buying 10 million dollar hotels is expensive and is simply not what the homeless of Austin want or need.
